I guess I'm ready :)

I bought this Driver's Permit Study guide last year and never really paid attention to it. Not until recently when I made my new years resolution and that is to be able to drive this year. I read the book and went to see how I can answer the questions ... the following screen shots shows my progress.

So far so good... 14 out of 15 questions.....

uh-oh..... i'm slipping. I'm down to 32 questions out of 35.

hmmmm..... 5 mistakes out of 57 questions... I guess i'm ready! :)

Dreading Tomorrow

Time ticking, seconds slipping
The dread is coming, creeping slowly
Slowly but surely, like death in its wake
Time ticking, seconds slipping

Why must time keep on going?
Why can’t it stop awhile and breathe a little
Or much more take a vacation like everyone else
Why must it keep on going?

My eyelids are dropping
I must not sleep, I must keep time busy
Lest I forget and find myself
At tomorrow’s grasp, helpless and sorry.

I’m dreading tomorrow
Every second that passes by are seconds nearer
To the trepidation that gnaws upon me
Foreboding, menacing the very core of my soul.

All in a day's work

One early Sunday morning while walking buddy...I chanced upon the reaper of snow on the road doing its toil. It must have been quite a work keeping all the snow out of the way for motorists. Unlike rain water which will definitely find its way to the drain holes, snow just want to stay where they are. And they can cause a lot of accidents.

This lone public servant is only one of the many snow removal vehicles the government has. The bigger ones operating on the highways were bigger, meaner and it’s quite a sight to see them working together. The snow does not have chance against them.

Ahhh... all in a day’s work....

Do you have an “all in a day’s work” kinda thing?

Life is a Boat -- by Rie Fu

I like the thought behind the song. It tells about the metaphor of life, the simile of living and the allegory of existence.

Like the two images ... life sometimes feels like being alone in the midst of everything gray and vagueness.

The Long and Winding Road - Beatles

The long and winding road
That leads to your door
Will never disappear
I’ve seen that road before
It always leads me here
Lead me to your door

The wild and windy night
That the rain washed away
Has left a pool of tears
Crying for the day
Why leave me standing here
Let me know the way

Many times I’ve been alone
And many times I’ve cried
Any way you’ll never know
The many ways I’ve tried

But still they lead me back
To the long winding road
You left me standing here
A long long time ago
Don’t leave me waiting here
Lead me to your door

But still they lead me back
To the long winding road
You left me standing here
A long long time ago
Don’t leave me waiting here
Lead me to your door
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

"Mister, do you think this road goes to the North Pole?"

Funny ... no one wants to go to the North Pole. Well, it's cold enough here to even go there. How can a road like this be deserted? Well, it's a Sunday morning and maybe people are sleepin' in. It's not a surprise to see roads here without any traffic at all.

The Evergreens - My kind of plant

Resilient is the best word to describe these plants of old.

No matter how hot and no matter how cold.

It will stand it's ground and will not fold.

Seemed like Mother Nature's favorite plant to hold.

An alien landscape going where?

Marshmallows perhaps?

Tiny grains of sugar....
