“Time is passing. Yet, for the United States of America, there will be no forgetting September the 11th. We will remember every rescuer who died in honor. We will remember every family that lives in grief. We will remember the fire and ash, the last phone calls, the funerals of the children. “
- President George W. Bush, November 11, 2001
I bowed my head today
Offered my deepest respect
My utmost reverence
to the innocent lives that was lost
Lost from terror and treachery
without concience and heart
I may not know them personally
but I feel the depth of their pain and hurt
their suffering and the agony...
I bowed my head in silence...

I can very much remember that day. I was off from work and a call came in telling me to hurry and open the TV and watch CNN. I stood there staring... i can't believe what I'm seeing. All that was coming out of my mouth was ... "no....., no.......no..... this is not happening". I was in Manila, Philippines.

Wow! It's really nice to see you and Dong doing a tribute to the 9/11 ! Again, it's fantastic to see that the world moved on without forgetting of those unfortunate that died in that attack.
yours is the second blog that i'm commenting about 9/11.
i was in my boarding house watching CNN. the next day, before the start of our faculty meeting, we offered our prayers to the innocent who lost their lives.
years have passed and its sad to think that the seed planted by the perpetrators of this crime is creeping somewhere.
but history shows us that those who commit heinous acts won't go unpunished.
a heartwarming post, em
i also remember that time. i was in cebu then. it was shocking.
Thanks Share! yes... we need to move on but we need to keep the lesson alive.
You are very right Juleste. No matter where the perpetrators are... they will be found and justice will be served ... whether here on Earth or in the afterlife.
You were probably still studying then Dong or are you in your early travels?
Yes, it was a shock to everyone. Only because of the extent of injustice and treachery. There's nothing like being stabbed at the back.
thanks for visiting!
