"I am already bound unto an husband, which is the kingdom of England" - Queen Elizabeth

This is an evening dress fit for a steadfast Queen. Queen Elizabeth I, Queen of England and of Ireland until her death. This gown truly embodies he unwavering commitment to her constituents.

The sweetheart neckline was embelished with flowerette lace and met by an inticate leaf design in a fine net background outlined with heavy threads to define the pattern and add dimension that followed the shape of her body.

Golden lace adorns the edges of her chapel length trail and one of her shoulder.

Long live Queen Elizabeth I!

"When she ascended the throne in 1558, England was an impoverished country torn apart by religious squabbles. When she died at Richmond Palace on the 24th March 1603, England was one of the most powerful and prosperous countries in the world."

one of my favorite scenes in english history is the defeat of the mighty spanish armada under king philip II of spain by the english fleet led by queen elizabeth II.

awesome! oops we're talking about fashion and not history hehe

anyway, this post as well as the other one about queen victoria are so engrossing I have to google historical information about these powerful women.

She's lovely. I can tell that a lot of time and effort had been put to make this project a success.

8/10 for the dedicated Queen Elizabeth.

you're definitely right Juleste! I think i saw the first Elizabeth movie. I should have seen all of them.

I am also proud of women who has proven that gender is not a hindrance to accomplish great things.
